HU Capital Management is a student-run non-profit with the aim of educating members of historically underrepresented groups within the Financial Services industry.
HU means historically underrepresented and represents our mission for human equality.
In the context of financial services, we believe HU means people who are black or of ethnic minorities, women, and those from low-income backgrounds. We seek to give students from these groups the opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible to them.
We provide exceptional students at top UK universities from backgrounds which have historically and presently experienced difficulty accessing the finance sector with valuable learning materials and experience as part of our diverse and inclusive elite investing team. Students will develop skills and professional financial literacy that will enable them to succeed in the sector, as we recognise they are capable of.
We have the aim of fundamental change throughout the industry. Hence, profits from our investments are reinvested into our drive to make the industry accessible for all students. We support partner schools and organise informational events that seek to demystify the sector. In this way, we hope to inspire more students from these backgrounds to join and pioneer within the finance industry.
